Grievance Redressal

Students, parents and staff can raise a concern with the College and have it examined fairly. This page explains what can be raised, how to submit a grievance and how it is handled.

Scope

What You Can Raise

Concerns of the following kinds may be brought to the notice of the College.

Academic Matters

Concerns relating to classes, timetables, internal assessments, attendance records, examination formalities or study material may be raised with the College.

Administrative Matters

Concerns relating to admission formalities, fee receipts, certificates, records, hostel support or other office procedures may be raised with the College office.

Ragging

Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited on the campus. Any incident or attempt at ragging must be reported to the College immediately so that action can be taken.

Harassment or Discrimination

Complaints of harassment, including sexual harassment, or of discrimination on any ground are treated as serious and are handled confidentially in accordance with applicable law and institutional norms.

Procedure

How a Grievance Is Handled

A simple, documented process so that every concern reaches the right person.

  1. Step 1

    Raise it with the College

    Submit your grievance in writing to the College office, or by email or telephone using the contact details below. Please give your name, course, year of study, contact number and a clear description of the concern.

  2. Step 2

    Acknowledgement

    Written grievances received through the College office or by email are recorded and acknowledged so that the complainant knows the matter is under consideration.

  3. Step 3

    Enquiry and redressal

    The concerned faculty or member of the administration examines the matter, hears the student where required, and takes appropriate action in accordance with College, Karnataka State Law University and Bar Council of India requirements.

  4. Step 4

    Escalation

    If a student is not satisfied with the outcome, the matter may be placed before the Principal for further consideration. Matters governed by statutory provisions are dealt with under the procedure prescribed by law.
